What is Reiki?
Reiki is an alternative energy healing medicine. The healing method is similar to hand healing that has been used for thousands of years.
Reiki is made of vibration, energy and love allowing you to connect to your true self and nature. Reiki is love and an intelligent energy that has created and sustained the universe in perfect order. It is a natural form of therapy using non-invasive gentle touch to promote feelings of wellbeing. This complementary therapy works alongside other medical and therapeutic techniques. Healing may be performed in person or a distant healing. Reiki helps energy move and flow correctly in the body in order to be aligned, grounded and connected with yourself and the universe.

Principles of Reiki
Reiki was founded by Usui Mikao of Japan in the 19th Century. The word Rei means higher universal intelligence or infinite power and Ki means light and energy.
The foundation of Usui’s teachings are influenced by Buddhist teachings. They are spiritual rather than religious being codes of wisdom that when practised daily will embody balance, harmony, wholeness and happiness.
